I've got PM on DOA and got to know a forum called "Trading Angels"
"Trading Angel" is for small traders and discussion, established by Littlepinkfaery ^0^

finding an ideal new source

Moonteahouse pointed out both ebay and etsy is not suitable for alternative.
* Ebay : fees are very high (9%, 50.00 USD maximum)
also, doesn't have highlight options that make your item shows on top of the list.
* Etsy : It is not an auction system.
Only allows us to sell with fixed price.
(0.20usd for listing one item and 3.5% transanction fee)

I've contacted with Korea-based FREE auction system "dollsbay" (http://www.dollsbay.com/)
and told him about our project, but he wasn't interested in making Dollsbay international, 'cause he has been losing money with this website. (thank him for carrying burden for Korean users, although it's not active..)

For now, I wish I could make strong "Flickr-Webring connection" and encourage artists and customers have personal transactions, just using paypal.
Although it would be wonderful we have a solid basecamp type of website, so we could make safe transaction.

Anyway, the very first step is involve more and more people in the cause.

Why Yahoo Japan?

well, I'll swoop right into the subject.
We need another "active and reliable" source to share our handmade BJD goods, other than JP auction.

For one reason, Yahoo Japan Auction doesn't provide easy access to foreigners.
We need Japanese address and Japanese bank account to use JP auction.
However, there are thousands of BJD fans all over the place.

Clearly, we need an alternative instead of Yahoo Japan Auction.

These are reasons that I started this blog.
1) although there are places with easier access than JP auction, but they're not active enough.
2) we will cut off unnecessary effort if we use alternative.
since we don't have to go through few steps.
Like, converting one languages & currency to Japanese and then again, to other language.
3) also, we will save additional expenses created from transactions
e.g.) transaction fee to send & receive money from Japanese bank account.
fee to agency, if you're using one.

These are the reasons, bothering me for years.
And I started to make a change, but it is not a one person job.
I need YOUR HELP.
Please spread the word to your friends :D

Below is my temporary method to make this work.
- gather as many artists as possible, and make a worldwide list of BJD artists.
- create a portal to communicate for artists and BJD owners
Only about artist's new work of art, and redirect bidders to alternative auction system.

*Suggestion*
Ebay & Etsy.com both have BJD categories.
Ebay has more subdivided categories, and allow any kind of goods. and it's auction system just like Y!J auction.
Etsy only has one category for BJD, but I've sent email about creating sub-categories.
Etsy only allows to sell handmade goods, so it would be a nice environment for individual BJD artists. However, it seems that you can only sell your item with fixed price.

Both of them have attractive features, JP Auction do not provide.
You can choose methods of payment, and also you can sell and bid, all by yourself.
no more trouble with agency, or asking for a favor to friends who have JP auction ID.

Let me know if there are other place we can try out.
